MEXICAN SPIRIT HUNT IN THE MINING EXCHANGE
Discover the meaning of the Mexican Day of the Dead tradition, which celebrates passed loved ones, in this fun workshop which brings together storytelling, physical activities and art-making activities. Paint your face as a skull and then help La Catrina find the lost spirit Cuau, who needs to return to the land of the living. Then make your own ofrenda (traditional altar) to take home.
This activity has been devised by Leonardo Castañeda and will be led by local educators in association with MexVic, the social and cultural organisation for Mexicans in Victoria.
