WORKSHOP: SCULPTURE DRAWING WITH LISA NOLAN
Refining drawing skills by taking inspiration from artworks has been part of an artist’s training for centuries. Artists learned from the past by studying the proportions of classical sculpture and copying them.
In this workshop inspired by our exhibition Call and response, participants will draw two contrasting sculptures from the Gallery Collection – a traditional alabaster bust by 19th century Florentine sculptor Masini and the contemporary fibreglass nude Sue by
Tutor for the class is Lisa Nolan, an experienced artist and teacher, working in portraiture, the figure, landscape and still life who trained at the Victorian College of the Arts.
